Privacy notice

Last updated 13 October 2026

This notice explains what personal data we collect through orisynx.com, why we collect it, the legal basis we rely on, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website only. Data held inside an Orisynx workspace is governed by the agreement with the organisation that owns the workspace.

We handle personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and the guidance issued under it by the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.

Who we are

Orisynx is the data controller for this website. For anything about your personal data, email support@orisynx.com.

What we collect

When you request a demo, we collect the details you enter in the form:

  • your name, work email address and company and, if you give them, your phone number, job title and company size
  • the standards you tell us you audit against, and any message you write
  • the page you sent the form from, your IP address and your browser’s user agent

The website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and does not set cookies of its own.

The demo form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, a security check that tells people from automated spam. To do that, Cloudflare processes technical information from your browser, such as your IP address and browser characteristics, under its own privacy policy. We receive only a pass or fail result, and we do not store it.

Why we use it, and our legal basis

  • To reply to your request and arrange and run the demo. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, and on taking steps you have asked for before any contract is entered into.
  • To follow up about your request, for example to answer questions after the demo or send information you asked for. We rely on our legitimate interest in following up an enquiry you started.
  • To protect the form from spam and abuse, using your IP address and user agent and the Cloudflare Turnstile check. We rely on our legitimate interest in keeping the website secure.

We do not send marketing email to people who request a demo, we do not sell your data, and we do not use it for anything else. We do not make decisions about you by automated means, including profiling.

Who can see it

Demo requests are seen only by the people at Orisynx who handle sales and support. We use service providers to host the website and our systems, to send email, and to run the security check on the form (Cloudflare). They process the data only on our instructions.

Transfers outside Nigeria

If any of our service providers store or process your data outside Nigeria, we make sure the transfer has a basis allowed by the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and we keep a record of that basis. You can ask us where your data is held.

How long we keep it

We keep demo requests for 24 months after our last contact with you, and then delete them. If you become a customer, records about the relationship are kept under that agreement instead. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will, unless we need to keep them for a legal reason.

How we protect it

Access to demo requests is limited to the people who need it, and we use technical and organisational measures to protect the data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.

Your rights

Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 you can ask us:

  • to confirm whether we hold personal data about you, and for a copy of it in a commonly used electronic format
  • to correct data that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete or misleading
  • to delete your data
  • to restrict how we use your data while a request or objection is being dealt with
  • to stop using your data
  • to withdraw any consent you have given
  • to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format, or have it sent to another organisation, where the Act allows

To make a request, email support@orisynx.comwith the subject “Privacy request”. We will respond without unreasonable delay, and we may ask you to confirm your identity first.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal data, please tell us first so we can try to put it right. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with theNigeria Data Protection Commission at any time.

Changes

If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and the date above.
